Wednesday Night Bible Study
6:30-7:30 pm

“The Acts of the Apostles” is our new Bible Study.

Bible Study Worship starts this Wednesday, April 21, at 6:30 via Zoom. We begin with the first 5 chapters of Acts. It is a quick read, but attend even if you haven’t read it.  Question to ponder: The coming of the Holy Spirit changed the course of human history. What other past or current events have had that impact on human history?

If you want to attend, but don’t have internet or a good connection at home, Mary Dahlstrom will meet you at church and she’ll Zoom to everyone else from there. Please let her know if you need to be there. She’ll stay home otherwise.

Here is the link to use to join the ZOOM BIBLE STUDY on an internet enabled device, smartphone or computer – https://greaternw.zoom.us/j/93573921173 – We are able to screen share pages or videos. Calling in without video gives you less advantage, though you could still hear the video, and would be welcome to listen in and join the discussion from your phone, OR take Mary up on her offer to zoom with her at the church! Additional ways to connect are: One tap mobile +12532158782,,93573921173# (Tacoma). Dial on any regular phone (landline) +1 253 215 8782 (Tacoma), then enter when prompted: Meeting ID: 935 7392 1173

“Worship Watchers” group(s)

`We now have a group of persons (up to 10, including the leader) who meet on Sundays at 10 AM to watch the online worship together. Some parts of the service (like Prayers of the People) may be done live with sharing.

Another group can form when this one is full (which it currently is NOT). This means that anyone interested in attending on a given Sunday needs to call ahead to be put on one of the lists. Call during office hours to Valerie (360-748-7334), or to Pastor Karla (206-226-4694) outside those hours.
THIS/THESE GROUPs CONTINUE, EVEN THOUGH THERE IS AN OUTDOOR WORSHIP. Participants can choose which to attend. Some cannot navigate the outdoor situation!

IF YOU ARE AMONG THOSE WHO ARE SPONSORING a “House-church” type indoor watch-group, where a small group is invited to someone’s home to watch all or part of the service together: Please remember to let Pastor or church office (phone #s above) know of these watch groups. We are trying to keep “attendance” numbers for worship from all sorts of gatherings, to determine the reach of the church during the pandemic.

Outdoor Worship

As the weather gets warmer and drier, and until we can begin indoor worship again, we have started having outdoor worship services. RAIN OR SHINE!!

ALL OUTDOOR WORSHIP WILL BE IN THE PARKING LOT! Chairs are set up. A Great new portable sound system.

RAIN: On days that are Rainy: Choose to bring an umbrella, OR stay in your car. Our new portable sound system is a good one, and has made it much easier to hear outside, even from your car (window down, of course). The umbrella might work well on a VERY sunny day, too!!

When can we go to INDOOR Worship?

18.1 DAILY New Cases per 100K
Lewis Co. as of 4/17/21

Once we have come to a time when we’ve reached the 2.1 Stage/Phase of re-opening the building! – that is after 3 weeks of continuously being in the yellow or green zone). At that point you’ll receive notices on Thursday as to whether we’ll be able to haveworship (up to 25 persons each service) inside the building!

The website to check for color zone of the pandemic that is referred to above is at this link: Covidactnow.org/us/washington-wa/county/lewis_county/?s=1758679. When reaching this site, scrolling down gives information and graphs about how our County is doing!   If we stay in the green or yellow zone, that’s GOOD for getting back to worship in person! We HAD BEEN in the yellow zone for over a week, but since March 31 we have been back into orange, and the trajectory seems to be upward again.

THE UPPER ROOM

A FREE online version of the Upper Room is available, click this link: The Upper Room. This is available to us because our church subscribes and gets hard copies of the booklets. These are available at the church building. If for some reason you haven’t gotten one yet, or prefer to get the online version, then use the link above either for temporary use, or all the time during the pandemic.

“Coffee Hour” – Tuesdays 10:00 AM

This is an opportunity to see and hear other church people, share your joys and concerns, and pray together! To join the chatter follow the link at 10:00 AM Tuesday
