Come, Now is the Time to Worship – Doerksen
Come, Now is the Time to Worship

Come, now is the time to worship
Come, now is the time to give your heart
Come, just as you are to worship
Come, just as you are before your God (Come…)
One day every tongue will confess you are God
One day every knee will bow
Still the greatest treasure remains
for those who gladly choose you now.
Willingly we choose to surrender our lives
Willingly our knees will bow
With all our hearts and mind and strength,
we gladly choose you now.

Call to Worship
Led by Mark Fredericksen
One: The whole world is
God’s house, and
you are invited to
worship God.
Are you ready?
All: Yes! We are ready!
One: God asks us to turn
away from other
gods that grasp for
our attention – wealth,
popularity, power –
and serve God alone.
Are you ready?
All: Yes! We are ready!
One: God wants us to
help make justice
roll down like waters,
and righteousness
like an ever-flowing
stream.
Are you ready?
All: Yes! We are ready!
One: We are called to
make a place for
Jesus in our hearts
and in our world,
and to follow
where he leads us.
Are you ready?
All: Yes! We are ready!
One: Let us worship God!

Oh don’t you want to go
To that gospel feast
That promised land
Where all is peace
Walk into heaven
and take my seat
and cast my crown
at Jesus feet
Deep River
My home is over Jordon
Deep River
Lord I wanna cross over into campground
Remembering Those Who Serve
A Remembrance Affirmation
We believe God
made this world
God loves this world,
God lives in this world.
We believe God holds it
and cradles it in loving hands:
holding its pain, caring
for every memory of
every person in conflict.
We believe God loves each human being
on every side of every struggle,
who has given of themselves,
even to death, for their friends and family
and for love of country.
We believe violence breaks God’s heart;
bullets tear through God’s intent;
and war opposes God’s love.But we believe love lives longer than hatred;
God’s love longer than anger;
hope burns away at despair;
God calls to us from the violence,
and we can work in love for a better world.
So may it be. Amen.
Prayers of the People
Rev. Karla Fredericksen
The Lord’s Prayer
Our Father who art in heaven,
hallowed be thy name.
Thy kingdom come;
thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread,
And forgive us our trespasses
As we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.
For thine is the kingdom,
and the power and the glory forever.
Amen.

HERE IS SOME OFFERTORY MUSIC!
Bell Trio
Fairest Lord Jesus
Chehalis United Methodist Church
Fairest Lord Jesus,
music composed by Schlesische Volkslieder,
1842 words were by Munster Gesangbuch, 1677,
and translated into English in 1873 by Joseph August Seiss.
Words:
Fairest Lord Jesus, ruler of all nature,
O thou of God and man the Son,
Thee will I cherish, thee will I honor,
thou, my soul’s glory, joy and crown.
Fair are the meadows, fairer still the woodlands,
robed in the blooming garb of spring:
Jesus is fairer, Jesus is purer,
who makes the woeful heart to sing.

Bible Study begins again
with Advent Study!
Begins Wednesday, November 11, 6:30 PM – THIS WEEK!

This Wednesday is when we begin a new Advent Study by Adam Hamilton: The Incarnation will be on Nov 11, 18, and Dec 2, 9, 16. We will be screen-sharing Adam Hamilton’s video on zoom, each week, before our discussion of the ideas presented.
If you want your own copy of the book, you may buy one for $13.25 including shipping, etc. from Pastor Karla. They are “first come, first served” in the church office. Please leave payment as you pick up a book. Books may also be ordered through Cokesbury and other outlets, if we run out. At this moment (Saturday night) there is only a couple of them left!
There are 5 weeks of lessons in the book. That’s why we are starting early (Advent actually begins on November 29). We won’t meet on Thanksgiving week, or on Dec. 23, however.
Here is the link to use to join the ZOOM class on an internet enabled device, smartphone or computer - https://greaternw.zoom.us/j/93573921173 - We will be able to screen share the video with Adam Hamilton, so calling in without video is not advised (though you could still hear the video).
“Coffee Hour” – Tuesday 10:00 AM

This is an opportunity to see and hear other church people, share your joys and concerns, and pray together! This is sort of our way of replacing the coffee hour on Sundays! To join the chatter follow this link at 10:00 AM Tuesday THIS WEEK.
