Opening Prayer

Great God, we move into this time and space with our sight and sense of smell, with our listening, with our hearts and our minds, so that we may live inside your story.  Help us remember who we are as your children as we celebrate the purpose you give us as your people. Amen.

  The Lord’s Prayer

        Our Father who art in heaven,
        hallowed be thy name. 
        Thy kingdom come;
        thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
        Give us this day our daily bread,
        And forgive us our trespasses
        As we forgive those who trespass against us.
        And lead us not into temptation,
        but deliver us from evil.
        For thine is the kingdom,
        and the power and the glory forever.
        Amen.

  • Bill-payer:  Some prefer to use their own bank’s bill-payerand set an automatic monthly amount. (We like this one!)

Sending Blessing

Leader:  Rejoice in our God, always!
People:  Again, I say, “Rejoice!”
Leader:  Let your gentleness be known
                to everyone
People:  for God is near.
Leader:  Don’t worry about anything,
                but in a spirit of prayer and thanksgiving
                tell God what’s on your mind.
People:  And may the peace of God –
                which passes all understanding –
                keep your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.
Leader:  And finally, my friends in the faith,
                whatever is true, whatever is noble,
                whatever is right, whatever is pure,
                whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable
                — if anything is excellent or praiseworthy
                – think on these things.
                And what good thing you have heard
                 or received, or seen – 
                 put that into practice. 
                 And the God of peace will be with you.

Closing Prayer

   God of wondrous love and boundless forgiveness,
   We have heard your word to us today in written and spoken words and song.  May that word inspire us toward new paths of service, as we find your ways of peace and community.  Amen.

All Saints Sunday is November 1

We will celebrate saints in the Sunday morning service, but will also have communion celebrating our own personal saints in the Evening Vespers Service. 

In preparation for the morning service – We will be naming members and close friends of the church who have passed away since last All Saints.  Please email names of any you believe should be included to Pastor Karla.

In preparation for the Vespers be sure to find a few candles to have on hand (birthday size, tapers, other – even electric!)  These we will use for you to light in your own remembrance of “those who have gone before us.”   Zoom Link is below.

Well, not yet, but the bells are warming up! Calling all bell players! Soon we’ll have bell solos, duets and trios recording especially for our worship services. If you fit that catagory, you should have gotten an email from Mary Dahlstrom inviting you to volunteer to help out. If you somehow missed it, contact her.
